Hey Admin...
I've been stuck on 563 posts since before Christmas.
How am I ever going to catch up to the likes of Hesh, etc? idunno

yeah, just to try and embarrass me...well it doesn't work! I'm too old to get embarrassed anymore! bliss

Just like my old buddy, Lance McCollum. Shop phone wouldn't ring all day long. Then as soon as I am in the middle of gluing in a lining, with a box full of clamps in my lap and glue on my fingers...guess who would call? I swear he had a closed circuit camera hidden in my shop just waiting.....

Your post total is increasing, just not at a Hesh-rate. What you aren't seeing is the individual post with the post number that created it. You will see the same number in your profile box regardless of which post you are looking at because its a total post count, not a post number.

If I make a post on Monday and it's number xxx why doesn't my next post on Wednesday come up xxx+1?
Isn't that want a "counter" does? Like the one on my web page that counts the visits? Or the one on the assembly line that counts the number of widgets produced?

Hank-
Your post # is increasing with each post you make.
The 'stuff' from your profile info that's posted to the left of your posts is continually updated.
So even if you search for the very first post you made here at the OLF, it would have today's post # (565?) to the left of it. (Also your up-to-date location, 'status', etc- so that your current info is linked to all your posts here at the OLF.)

That's the way I see it anyway.

I really have over 100 thousand post. I turned back the odometer to make myself appear that I have less miles on my self then i actually do. :)
